Of course Alleppey is famous for the converted rice boats that cruise through the backwaters and it was certainly a highlight of our time here, and we were lucky enough to see a glorious sunset as we tied up overnight.
We also enjoyed people watching and talking to local people, we are beginning to relax into India, and a number of shots show this – it’s a wonder full place.
Not such a dream location – locals tell us this bypass has been under construction for 20 years!
A bit arty, the bike needs a bit of work. Outside the Indian Coffee House cooperative.

And then of course, the houseboats through the backwaters that feed the rice fields.
